OASIS Institute

We will be opening public websites in early 2019. For further information, contact us via +1 (231) 492-8301 or +1 (505) 926-1399 or by email to contact@tdyn.org.

Dedicated to theoretical and applied research within Mathematics, Cybernetics, Computer Science and Engineering, with a primary focus upon intelligent control, optimization and prediction, and the development of technologies that implement the results of such research.

The name, OASIS, contains the expression of the Institute’s mission: the study and practice of Open Autopoietic Social Intelligence Synthesis. The principal topics of research and application development comprise topics within Synthetic Intelligence, Human-Machine Interaction, and Psychosocioeconomic Dynamics (PSED). These provide the foundational models, algorithms and functions for developing, managing and controlling, in particular, the OASIS System for Open Autopoetic Social Intelligence Synthesis and the SELDON Network.

There is a faculty comprised of Fellows, Mentors, Researchers and Visitors. There is an organizational affiliation with one or multiple universities and other institutes but the institute is independent from any other institution. (The mission and activities are consistent and similar to some of the original motivations and founding ideas of the Institute for Advanced Study, Perimeter, Kavli, and a few others, as well as to the Institute for Innovative Study.)

OASIS Institute is focused upon long-term collaborative research and development. There are several programs and projects in which Oasis Institute is centrally active. There are four Institute Programs in which OASIS is the primary program lead. These are:

(Primary Programs)

  • 1. OASIS – the design and development of the OASIS dynamic-reality technologies including the OASIS Worlds. The full and exclusive commercial license of OASIS technologies is assigned to Intelligence Renaissance Industries.
  • 2. Seldon - PSED-based Prediction Engine providing forecasting of dispositions and trends on the basis of analytics incorporating behavioral data from massive populations.
  • 3. Librarium – a physical and digital library of informational resources focused upon the conservation, preservation, and integration of S.T.E.A.M. knowledge resources for long-term future generations, including provisions and methods for ensuring future continuity of learning, fabrication and production. OASIS focus is upon knowledge presentation and organization, human-machine interaction and overall data management.
  • 4. MEDEIA - Media education, intelligence and analysis, focusing upon the sustainment of accuracy, consistency, and veracity in news and literature, particularly in areas concerning STEAM topics and especially PSED.

(Additional Program Activity, in order of engagement attention and involvement)

  • 5. EcoVita – OASIS focus is upon information, computing, modeling, simulation, and the use of OASIS technologies.
  • 6. ASTRIC – OASIS focus is upon system component design and operational control including himan-machine interface and visualization topics.
  • 7. NeoPlexus – OASIS involvement concentrates upon parallel distributed processing and related computing technologies.
  • 8. Academy – OASIS involvement is focused upon using the OASIS dynamic-reality technologies for communication, education and training.
  • 9. Ars Bio – OASIS focus is upon using the OASIS technologies for visualization and creative artistic experience.
  • 10. TETRAD Seminars
